Okay, I'm really getting annoyed with Fox News (yeah, I know, it's Fox, but it's one of three channels we get good reception on without cable). Their newscasters keep referring to the people who remained in New Orleans and the gulf coast during the hurricane as people who "chose to stay", and wondering why people didn't leave knowing there was a powerful hurricane coming their way. Let's get this straight: many of the people who stayed behind did not choose to do so. They stayed because they had no other viable options; they couldn't afford cars, or the gas for a long drive, or the price of a hotel for a few days; or they had nowhere else to go. You would think that these people would be a bit more aware than that.
