Hot Weekend
Aug. 15th, 2005 11:08 pmThis weekend turned out to be quite enjoyable. For starters, neither Other Kenjari or I perished in the unrelenting heat and humidity. And I was even able to get some really tasty soy ice cream at Whole Foods. I rarely eat even fake ice cream anymore, since years of dairy allergy have gotten me out of the habit of eating it. But this weekend was one of those rare times when I got an actual craving for the stuff.
Other Kenjari and I discovered a great barbeque place near Fenway on Friday night. We ate so much that we ended up walking off some of our over-stuffedness along the riverway. It was a lovely place to walk - we'll have to return some time during an afternoon and when we aren't so full. For us sound and music geeks, it has the added attraction of an arched stone bridge that produces an amazing slapback echo when you stand under it.
Saturday we had dinner with
zfarcher, then he and I headed off to the final Junction party. (Other Kenjari is kind of shy and not much into parties, so he stayed in) It was a great party - everyone was dressed beautifully, and the drinks and food were delicious. Plus, I got to visit with a lot of people I don't often get to see.
