Someone Perfect
by Mary Balogh

This is the final volume in the Westcott series and concerns Estelle Lamarr, one of the more distant relations. Her friend and neighbor Maria Wiley has been summoned home by her half-brother Justin after several years spent isolated at a country estate, largely nursing her very ill and now deceased mother. Maria and Justin had been close when they were children, but she now hates him due to mysterious events in the past. Estelle and her brother accept an invitation to come with Maria and help her settle in and adjust to her new home, life, and large extended family. Over the course of Estelle's stay, the truth of Maria's family past comes out and Estelle and Justin fall in love.
This was a very nice romance and a good ending for the series, feeling a bit more like an epilogue than a grand finale. Estelle and Justin's love develops slowly and through real emotional connections than just attraction. There was a thoughtfulness about it that I appreciated. It was a very satisfying arc. The family saga happening around them was interesting and emotionally weighty in a way that dovetailed with the love story rather than distracting from it.
