When it snows, it snows some more

kenjariIt's snowing again today. And not a light dusting, either. This just after the MBTA had finally cleared the snow from the above-ground stops on the green line. I swear, this week has just about killed any affection I had for snow.
My head is feeling okay. There was substantial swelling around the eye, but I think it's finally starting to go away. It looks much worse than it feels. Mostly the swelling and the stitches are just uncomfortable - there's very little pain. However, the bruising is all blue and red and purple and my eye is only about 75% open. I have a large band-aid over my eyebrow, too. I'm not really all that vain, but this is a bit much, so I'm feeling kind of self-conscious.
I hate not being able to take a regular shower, though. (I'm not supposed to get the stitches soaking wet.) It's too time-consuming to fill the tub for a bath, so I've been bathing in a manner resembling the hokey-pokey. It's adequate, but not as satisfying or relaxing as a regular shower. At least Other Kenjari is willing to wash my hair for me.
On top of all that, I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. Humph.
