Finding Neverland

Other Kenjari and I went to see a sneak preview showing of "Finding Neverland" last night. It's about J. M. Barrie and the writing of Peter Pan. Johnny Depp plays Barrie. And he does a fine job, too. I am so glad that Johnny Depp seems to realize, unlike several other actors, that looking pretty is not enough. The script does occasionally swing perilously close to cliched sentimentality, but it always saves itself in plenty of time.
