Longest Day Ever

kenjariI worked a 13 (!) hour day today. Got to work a little after 7:30 am, left at 8:50 pm. Some materials for the department's big off-site meeting tomorrow had to be put together, and absolutely had to be done for tomorrow morning. So Lisa and I stayed late to get everything done, and it turned out to be slow going. Lucky for me, I get overtime pay. And Lisa bought me dinner and gave me a ride home.
The building gets very quiet after 5, and they turn the fountain in the atrium off at about 8. Sunset is beautiful in that building, with all the glass and light-enhancing features. All in all, it wasn't a horrible experience. I still don't want to ever have to do that again, though.
