Lost in Camberville
Aug. 24th, 2004 12:49 pmWho would have guessed that both ends of the bike path in Somerville (the one that goes through Davis Square) lead to a Cedar St.? Not the same Cedar St., mind you. One of them is in North Cambridge, and the other is in Somerville. Despite being not very far from each other, the two streets are not connected or related in any way. So that's how I got horribly lost and confused yesterday evening and was more than an hour late to an appointment - my directions said to go to Davis and take the bike path to Cedar St., etc.

Date: 2004-08-25 03:18 pm (UTC)Not just Massachusetts, actually—I'm pretty sure that Cedar was among the streets around my (Seattle) high school, along with Alder and Cherry (Pine was a little bit further away). And the freeway exit for my old apartment in Branford (CT) was also Cedar Street.
<pause>
Oh noes! The Cedars are secretly taking over the world! It's a vast conspiracy of nice-smelling trees!
(Speaking as an owner of several woolens, I for one welcome our new Cedar overlords...)
—Ben, who should clearly cut back on the coffee and/or go home now...
