It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in this update

On Sunday, Other Kenjari and I put up our little tree. We'd bought some new ornaments for it on Friday, and Mom had given me some stuff from her vast collection last year so it's not so bare this time around. We also did some decorating in the studio this year. We hung the extra silver beads garland-style below the windows and then hung up the ornaments that are too big for our tree (it's a small table-top tree). It's really nice and has made me realize that decorations are one of my favorite parts of Christmas. Everything is so pretty and it's fun to make my apartment look different.
I've been feeling very overwhelmed and stressed lately. I had a lot to do, and it seemed like for everything I got done, two more things appeared in its place. I think the craziness is starting to pass, though, because since yesterday I've begun to feel like I had more of a handle on it all. I guess the new job plus the start of the holiday season kind of ganged up on me for a bit there.
