My resignation went public today at work, as I told the rest of my co-workers. On Monday I'll be telling two of the project teams I work with. I'll also be meeting with my manager to discuss what needs to be done before I leave and who will take up my duties. It's become really hard to focus at work now. So instead I spent some time looking at the Berklee site to get more familiar with what they're doing there. I found out that Howard Shore got his degree there in 1969! And that my composition teacher from Boston Conservatory now teaches there part time. I guess I should send him an e-mail about my new job at Berklee.
I got my first sunburn of the summer last week. I forgot to put sunscreen on my upper chest when I went for a walk in a scoop-neck t-shirt. It wasn't a bad burn, mostly it just itched a lot. I'll have to be more mindful about sunscreen use.
I'm really looking forward to my day off tomorrow. I need to be out of the house mid-day though, because they are going to be testing the fire alarms in my building. It's a good thing I need to go to the library anyway. I think I'll treat myself to lunch at the library's restaurant.
