Child Of the Prophecy
by Juliet Marillier

This is the third and last installment of the Sevenwaters trilogy (see my last two book reviews for commentary on the first two). Fainne, the main character, is a member of the third generation of the family, although she was raised apart from the main family. This book not only wraps up the overarching conflict of the series but brings into sharper focus the themes of making choices and the strength of will that can be required to carry out those choices. Like the previous Sevenwaters heroines, Fainne must make difficult choices, but the stakes are even higher this time. There's twist to it all, too.
As with the previous two books, the emotions come across sharply, and the characters are well rendered. And the ending is quite satisfying.
