1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Write for non-western instruments
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any last year. I don't really make New Year's Resolutions. I prefer to make resolutions throughout the year, as they become relevant or necessary.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
A few places in the US.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
An acceptance letter from a doctoral program
7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 20.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
The previously mentioned recital. Getting a much better apartment. Writing some good music.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting into grad school
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yup, problems with the girly bits. It's not entirely resolved yet, either.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A color laser printer and a coil binding machine. I also enjoyed getting into bpal. And the Christmas tree was delightful.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Other Kenjari's. He's finally paying more attention to his health.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Bush. Alberto Gonzalez. The Virginia Tech shooter. There were plenty of other news stories that involved horrific behavior, but specifics aren't coming to mind at the moment.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Educational loan repayment. Rent. Various and sundry music-related expenses.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting a better apartment. The Oregon Bach festival. The January recital.

I can't think of anything in particular. I did listen to a lot of Sigur Ros this year, though.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Making music. Reading. Spending time with friends.

Procrastinating on the internet.

There are a couple of things, but they're not for discussion here.

With my family in CT.
22. How will you be spending New Years Eve?
At home with Other Kenjari.

I'm still madly and blissfully in love with Other Kenjari.

None.

I'm not much into TV, but I had a lot of fun watching

Your family is not necessarily your best resource for emotional support.
Your day job is just a day job - don't spend so much mental and emotional energy on it.

I haven't been listening to a lot of music in which the lyrics are super-important, so I don't have a good answer for this one.
