What I did this week
Jun. 15th, 2008 08:41 pmOn Wednesday, I went to the Red Sox game with
zfarcher, and had a very good time. Since the Sox scored 5 runs early on, this game had a lot less tension than the other one we went to together. The experience was more like just hanging out together in the park this time. The weather was absolutely perfect, too. We were once again in the bleachers, this time over the opposing team's bullpen. I realized that I have no interest in ever being in a luxury box. I don't think it would be as much fun to be indoors, with a barrier between you and the park. I really like being out in the open air, with a good view and the opportunity to chat idly with other fans.
On Thursday, I went to the departmental outing that preceded our off-site meeting on Friday. It was dinner and bowling, with an open bar. I had a pretty good time, even though I am not a good bowler. The free Wild Turkey helped. ;)
Yesterday, I went to
sen_no_ongaku's birthday party, where I had a really good time. I played a little bit of Rock Band, doing the vocals for "Should I Stay Or Should I Go", by the Clash. It was fun.
In other news, I would like to thank Coldplay for reminding me of how much I love New Order. Coldplay's song on the new iTunes commercials sounds quite reminiscent of New Order to me, and it prompted me to get out my New Order CD, which I had neglected for far too long.
