The Brahms German Requiem performance was terrific. The orchestra was crisp and clear and tight, the soloists were great, and the orchestra had all the clarity and subtlety the piece demands. It was, in fact, a better performance than the recording I own (time to get a new recording).
Things are off to a great start. If only I'd had the energy to go out socializing with the other folks after the concert. Ah well, if I catch up on sleep and rest now, I will have more energy for socializing later. If I'd gone out, I would be tired and dragged out for the next two days.

I'm a pretty big fan of the German Requiem, although I have a habit of sort of drifting a bit after the gorgeous first movement and the Awësömëly Mëtäl second movement . . .
