Happy to be in Massachusetts
May. 17th, 2004 12:31 pmI'm not usually a very outwardly political person, but I just have to say how happy and proud I am to be living in Massachusetts right now. Other Kenjari and I watched last night's news coverage with great glee. It's about damn time.
Coincidentally, today is the day that Other Kenjari and I got together seven years ago. While I realize that this is nothing more than a kind of personal vanity on my part, I can't help thinking that this makes it an auspicious day for all the couples who will finally be getting legal recognition.
Here's hoping Connecticut and Rhode Island do the right thing and resolve to recognize these marriages.
