Other Kenjari and I woke up insanely early (5:30 am on a Saturday!) and went to Logan for our flight to Raleigh-Durham. We learned that Terminal B isn't as nice as the other terminals at Logan, but our flight was otherwise boring. I got more rest than usual on the plane, thanks to the noise-cancelling headphones. This made me especially happy as I am getting over an ill-timed cold.
Despite lacking a high-quality map or any printed directions, we managed to find our way to our hotel without any mishaps. Since we still had a couple of hours before we could check in, Other Kenjari and I decided to head into Durham and find the Duke campus and the music building. We still had no directions, but it's not like Duke is trying to hide.
The Duke campus is gorgeous: lots of trees and beautiful gothic-style buildings. We couldn't take a look at the chapel, though, because there was a wedding going on. We'll have to go back. Coincidentally and conveniently enough, there's a Whole Foods behind the music building. So if I end up at Duke, I can once again fuel my graduate stuidies at the Whole Foods deli counter.
After checking out Duke, we went back to the hotel, and called
