Several months ago, the extremely talented jazz guitarist who lived above me moved out. I was sad at the time, but I'm even more sad now, because my current upstairs neighbor is a singer/guitarist, but he's not that good. He does a lot of Eagles and Credence on his acoustic guitar. He plays the same couple of tunes over and over on his electric - they are maddeningly familiar, but I don't know the names of any of them. Yesterday he started adding Stone Temple Pilots songs to his repertoire. And there's only one answer to that - lots of loud Neubauten.

Moving week has started in Allston. I'm so glad that I won't be here on Saturday - it will be wall-to-wall U-Hauls and sidewalks clogged with furniture, boxes, and other moving debris. Plus lots of bumping and thumping as people move into and out of this building. However, if anyone in the Boston area is looking for free furniture, just drive around Allston between now and Monday.

you should amend that to say, "if anyone wants BEDBUG RIDDEN free furniture..."

shudder. I'm so glad we don't live in Allston any more, but I miss Boston!

We haven't had any problems with bedbugs at all here, even though I keep hearing about the rampant problems in Allston. The only vermin-type problem we've had is a very brief bout of mice, which was easily fixed with a couple of traps.
