Done with one, on to the next

I finished my string quartet, Burning the Harvest, earlier this week. I am inordinately pleased with it. Not only is it really good, I also had a great time writing it. I'm planning on sending it to a couple of professional string quartets once I get some nice coipies of the score bound up and the parts made.
I have immediately started on my next project, because it needs to get done in a timely fashion. I'm writing a set of songs for pantsie, on texts by e e cummings, which she picked out. This is also going to be a very fun project, I think.
