Book Review
Apr. 22nd, 2018 03:30 pmThe Cambridge Companion to the Cello
edited by Robin Stowell
This Cambridge Companion is very similar to the one for violin as far as content and structure goes - I think a lot of the authors are the same, too. I especially liked the sections on the development and construction of the cello, and on the evolution of it technique. The chapter on the demands and innovations of contemporary music was also very interesting.
