Tree!

This weekend Other Kenjari and I got a Christmas Tree. We wanted to get a real tree, but unfortunately, due to time constraints, we couldn't find a place that was selling small (3-4 feet) ones. So we ended up getting an artificial tree at Target. I'd actually wanted one without lights, so I could do it my way, but no such thing was to be had. In fact, the selection wasn't great this late in the month. We got a three-foot tree described as a "colorado pine", pre-lit with multicolored lights. We decorated it on Sunday and Monday with silver beads (generously loaned to us by sigerson), white and gold glass balls, the Green Eggs and Ham ornaments davidsmom1 had given me several years ago, and an assortment of other ornaments. It's cute and Christmas-y and is filling both of us with holiday glee.

Ohh Nifty.
We didn't end up getting a tree tis year, and that sort of bums me out. But neither Holly or I are huge Holiday fanatics, so we're just happy to keep it low-key.

When are you folks free over the holidays? I'm off from Tomorrow until jan 2nd.. And *H* has a few days off squeezed in during that time. (and obviously, weekends off..)

We'll be around this weekend, then at my folks' place from the 24th through the 26. We have to work on Dec 27, 28, and 31. The rest of the time is wide open as of now.
