This weekend Other Kenjari and I got a Christmas Tree. We wanted to get a real tree, but unfortunately, due to time constraints, we couldn't find a place that was selling small (3-4 feet) ones. So we ended up getting an artificial tree at Target. I'd actually wanted one without lights, so I could do it my way, but no such thing was to be had. In fact, the selection wasn't great this late in the month. We got a three-foot tree described as a "colorado pine", pre-lit with multicolored lights. We decorated it on Sunday and Monday with silver beads (generously loaned to us by
sigerson), white and gold glass balls, the Green Eggs and Ham ornaments
davidsmom1 had given me several years ago, and an assortment of other ornaments. It's cute and Christmas-y and is filling both of us with holiday glee.

Date: 2007-12-19 06:12 pm (UTC)We didn't end up getting a tree tis year, and that sort of bums me out. But neither Holly or I are huge Holiday fanatics, so we're just happy to keep it low-key.
