This and That
Jun. 6th, 2006 09:15 pmI was watching the news this evening with Other Kenjari and there was a story about the theft of some lumber from a local Catholic church - they had been planning to build an access ramp with it. As the newscast talked about how replacement lumber had been donated, they showed footage of some young people working on the ramp. Front and center was a man wearing a black t-shirt that said "heretic" across the chest. Hee.
My stomach has steadily improved, and my stress is way down. I've taken up yoga to help me deal with the latter. If anyone has any recommendations for DVDs to buy or places in Boston to take classes, comment away. I also highly recommend Massage Therapy Works in Davis Square. They are terrific and reasonably priced. My massage last Friday did wonders. It's amazing how productive I've become now that I'm not stressed out - I'm more motivated at work, I'm getting a lot more composing done at home, and I've been much more focused when practicing piano.
I got an e-mail today from a guy I went to school with from kindergarten through high school. I haven't seen or heard from him in about four years, so it was surprising. He's in the national guard, and the e-mail came from his military address, so I'm wondering if he's in Iraq or Afghanistan. I guess I'll find out if he replies to my message.
