Despite the angst, I managed to have some good times this weekend. On Saturday, I went to a brunch at
darmatage's place. Yummy food, cool people.
Sunday was warm and sunny, so I made pasta and vegetable salad for dinner and pretended it was alredy summer.
Other Kenjari and I also got out to see "Inside Man", which we both really enjoyed. The pacing is excellent, the acting is great (finally, we get to see Clive Owen in a lead role in a movie that doesn't suck). Denzel Washington is always a delight to watch, as is Jodie Foster - they're both so good at what they do. Both the script and the performances made for a very absorbing film that sucked me in and swept me along. I also really liked the way Spike Lee made New York City look - he makes it seem natural and real rather than monolithic or mythical. The score was well-done, too, with a couple of really wonderful moments.
