Rendezvous Weekend

This weekend seemd to be all about meeting up with and running into folks. After work on Friday, I met up with orichalcum for tea at the Diesel, since she was up from NYC for the day. We had a lovely conversation, and it was great to see her. Especially since she is soon to move to Chicago, a place I am likely to have regrettably few opportunities to visit in the near future. After that, I ran into signsoflife, also at the Diesel. I hadn't seen her in three or four years, despite us both living in the same general area. I really hope that it doesn't take us another three years to see each other again.
On Saturday, I went shopping with epilimnion, after having breakfast with her and D. I needed to get some nice summer clothing for my trip to Oregon. The air conditioning in the building where I work tends to be too strong to allow me to wear nice summer clothing to work. So I don't have very much of it in my wardrobe. Epilimnion and I hit all the consignment shops in Cambridge. Plus we went shoe shopping (impossible to do at consignment shops because I wear a very small size). It was really hot out, so we took frequent breaks to get drinks and such. We thus ran into obra at Toscanini's, where we were enjoying the absolute best orange sorbet in the world.
In fact, it was perhaps hotter out than was comfortable for doing so much walking. However, being uncomfortably hot was such a novel experience that I can hardly complain.

EDIT: And then, this evening, I ran into a co-worker while coming out of Blockbuster.
