This weekend was very nice, despite the crappy weather. Other Kenjari and i went down to Connecticut for Angela's (and Matt's, but I don't really know him) wedding. It was lovely. I'd never been to a full Catholic ceremony before, and I have to admit that it is kind of impressive: long, but definitely thorough. The priest did a good job of including a prayer for the pope without deviating from the nuptual tone, too.
The reception was great. It was held in a seaside park, in the hall that holds the park's carousel. The view was beautiful, if foggy, and the carousel was running. I hadn't been on one in so many years. Also, I got to talk to plenty of people that I hadn't seen in years.
We stayed at my parents' house in Waterford, so we also got to visit with them. Mom looks good after her surgery - we have matching scars.
