hca and R's wedding on Saturday was beautiful and lots of fun. For me, the day started shortly after 8 in the morning, when I arrived at the hotel for hair, makeup, and other preparation. It turned out to be surprisingly mellow and relaxing quality time with hca, jila, and hca's sister. The people hca brought in to make us extra pretty were really good as well as being friendly and pleasant. The hairdresser managed to work some amazing magic on my hair, giving me this elaborate braid that was soft, poufy, and elegant.
Everything went smoothly, even the limo ride over to the church. The ceremony was beautiful - lovely music (the organist was really good), a warm and down to earth officiant, and touching vows. There were even a couple of moments of unexpected humor. pantsie's performance of Ave Maria was transcendant. I felt so wonderful up there - so happy for hca and R, so honored to be a part of the day.
The reception was lots of fun. I even got Other Kenjari to dance with me not once, but three times! Plus we got to visit with lots of folks from near and far, too many to list, but it was truly wonderful to see them all.
Congratulations to the couple, and may you be blissfully happy all of your days. I'm just so thrilled for you!
