Crossing a line
Oct. 12th, 2007 10:01 amSo Other Kenjari and I became Red Sox fans after moving across the river from Somerville to Allston-Brighton. But this season, during the playoffs, we've finally entered the realm of baseball superstition. See, I got a Red Sox hat at our work outing to Fenway Park a couple weeks ago. That night, the Sox won and thus became the AL East champions. The following Friday, I wore the hat while watching the second playoff game with my sister. After several tense innings with the score tied, the Sox won with Manny's walk-off home run. So that Sunday, when Other Kenjari turned on the radio to listen to the third playoff game, he also handed me my hat and insisted I wear it, so that the Sox would win. It worked. ;)
