China Mieville is going to be at the Brookline Booksmith tomorrow at 7pm - the listing in the paper didn't say if he was reading or signing or both, though. Other Kenjari and I are going. I wonder if Mieville has seen any Lunesta ads while he's here in the states.

Ohh Nifty. I read Iron Council, and loved it. Kinda steam-punkish, and pretty topical. Very cool that he's going to be here.

I've only read Perdido Street Station, which was one of the most intense and best reading experiences I've ever had. I couldn't put it down, even when one scene made me seriously nauseous. Other Kenjari has read all of his other stuff, and liked it all immensely.

Depending on when I get home from work, how tired I am, and if I can get myself fed in time, I may drop by. I have already discovered the glory of the Brookline Booksmith and am looking forward to taking greater advantage of it.

Unfortunately, I just got an email from the Booksmith saying that the event for tonight has been cancelled. :(
