Good Weekend, other things not so good

kenjariI had a very good, very relaxing holiday weekend. After a mellow day at work (lots of people had taken the day off), it started off with a very yummy Indian dinner and a wonderful evening with Other Kenjari.
On Saturday, we hopped the commuter rail out to the Worcester area for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
hca and R's cookout. Worcester is a kind of grungy-looking place. In fact, the train station and its environs reminded me a lot of the train station area in Baltimore. This is not a compliment. The cookout was great, though. Hamburgers, hot dogs, beer, fondue, good company, great weather - it was perfect Saturday.
The rest of the three-day weekend was spent on nothing mucch. other Kenjari and I got out of the house for nice long walks, although our planned trip to the Forest Hills Cemetary ended up being scuttled because of insomnia the night before and my stomach acting up again. So we went down to the reservoir out towards BC instead. We saw some very cute, fuzzy baby geese and a whole bunch of little turtles.
Unfortunately, my stomach is not so happy again. Not as bad as it was, but still some backsliding from the improvement I'd seen. I'm hoping it's just hormones (PMS is never particularly kind to my digestive system). Plus, it's only been a week since I started on my mother's treatment (and she still has several tricks up her sleeve if need be). I can't wait for my massage on Friday. And for the yoga videos I ordered to arrive. I really hope this is something I can solve and that it doesn't turn out to be something I'll just have to learn to live with.
