Saturday night revelry
I had a fabulous time at
sigerson's and
sen_no_ongaku's party last night. There was food, there were games, there were great people. I didn't really know anyone else there, besides the hosts, but that very soon ceased to matter. I've definitely become less shy as I've gotten older.
I hope some of the results of the Oracle game get posted, because I haven't laughed like that in quite a while. I believe we were passing around a box of tissues because we were all laughing so hard.
It's obvious that one of the hosts is a composer when the background music for the party includes Olivier Messaien and Steve Reich. And then a bunch of people (myself included) get involved in a discussion of George Crumb's "Black Angels".
Puerto Rico is a really fun game. Next time I play, I won't neglect building in favor of production quite so much.
I need to find out how to get some of that blueberry mead.
